MY NAME IS DR. ALEX ANDERSON, BUT YOU CAN JUST CALL ME ALEX. I AM A DOCTOR OF PHYSICAL THERAPY, WHO IS BOARD CERTIFIED IN ORTHOPAEDIC PHYSICAL THERAPY AND FELLOWSHIP-TRAINED IN ORTHOPAEDIC MANUAL PHYSICAL THERAPY. I AM DRY NEEDLING CERTIFIED AND ALSO TREAT WOMEN’S HEALTH CONDITIONS.
I am from the D.C. area originally and will always call Maryland home. I also have a special place in my heart for California, as that is where I received my PT education. My Fellowship program at the University of Illinois at Chicago brought me to the midwest, which is where I am currently practicing.
My passion for starting The Physical Therapy Academy is to treat pain and movement dysfunction. I believe we are all meant to move and achieve pain free, efficient movement. This is my goal for all my clients. My knowledge of pain science, motor control, and exercise physiology allows me to incorporate techniques to retrain faulty movement.
In addition to orthopaedics, I also treat a variety of women’s health conditions. Believe it or not, the pelvic floor also consists of muscle, which needs to be strong and functional, just like the rest of the body.
By providing one-on-one, personalized care, I have discovered that better movement is possible for anyone willing to take on the challenge. The best part is that by working together, we can achieve this through thorough, efficient, and effective collaboration. So let’s get in touch and get you on your way to better movement.

MY NAME IS ALYSSA BELL, NICE TO MEET YOU! .
I’m a certified Classical Pilates instructor in both Apparatus and Mat work, with three years of experience teaching the classical system to clients of all levels. I’ve also developed tailored programs for prenatal and postnatal Pilates, supporting women through every stage of their journey.

Hi, my name is Harris Khan (pronounced HAR-ISS).
I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and am currently practicing at The Physical Therapy Academy in Chicago. While Chicago is home now, I enjoy working with people from all backgrounds and movement experiences.
I work with individuals experiencing chronic pain, strength and mobility limitations, balance challenges, and other conditions that make everyday movement more difficult. I believe physical therapy should be personalized, practical, and collaborative, which is why I take the time to understand each patient’s unique goals and lifestyle.
My approach combines hands-on treatment, movement-based exercise, and patient education to support long-term recovery. I enjoy helping patients better understand how movement habits and daily routines play a role in how they feel and function.
Outside of the clinic, I value staying active and continually learning ways to improve overall health and movement. I’m a proud member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Illinois Physical Therapy Association.
I’m passionate about working alongside my patients to build confidence, restore movement, and teaching them how to achieve what they once thought was impossible. Let’s get started!
