MY NAME IS DR. ALEX ANDERSON, BUT YOU CAN JUST CALL ME ALEX. I AM A DOCTOR OF PHYSICAL THERAPY, WHO IS BOARD CERTIFIED IN ORTHOPAEDIC PHYSICAL THERAPY AND FELLOWSHIP-TRAINED IN ORTHOPAEDIC MANUAL PHYSICAL THERAPY. I AM DRY NEEDLING CERTIFIED AND ALSO TREAT WOMEN’S HEALTH CONDITIONS.

I am from the D.C. area originally and will always call Maryland home. I also have a special place in my heart for California, as that is where I received my PT education. My Fellowship program at the University of Illinois at Chicago brought me to the midwest, which is where I am currently practicing.

My passion for starting The Physical Therapy Academy is to treat pain and movement dysfunction. I believe we are all meant to move and achieve pain free, efficient movement. This is my goal for all my clients. My knowledge of pain science, motor control, and exercise physiology allows me to incorporate techniques to retrain faulty movement.

In addition to orthopaedics, I also treat a variety of women’s health conditions. Believe it or not, the pelvic floor also consists of muscle, which needs to be strong and functional, just like the rest of the body.

By providing one-on-one, personalized care, I have discovered that better movement is possible for anyone willing to take on the challenge. The best part is that by working together, we can achieve this through thorough, efficient, and effective collaboration. So let’s get in touch and get you on your way to better movement.

My name is Chris and I look forward to working with you! I know how important movement is to health and well-being, and I became a physical therapist to help individuals return to doing what they love. I graduated with my Doctor of Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in 2025.

I am originally from New York and worked in the financial industry in NYC for six years. Over this time I realized my passion for movement science and decided to pursue my passion, changing careers and bringing me to Chicago. Physical therapy has made a big impact for me personally and I look forward to helping you in the same way.

My approach prioritizes manual therapy and targeted exercise to quickly improve function. I also prioritize incorporation of home exercises into your daily life and exercise routine, making working with me seamless with your day-to-day life. I enjoy helping individuals return to work, the gym, or whatever else they want or need, from musculoskeletal and neuropathic pain across all regions of the body.

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy weightlifting, traveling, exploring Chicago’s restaurant scene, and all things New York sports.
